Will disputes speed up PIF reporting?

I have recently PIF a couple of old CC accounts that had been charged off. The creditors are telling me that it will be as much as 90 days before this is reflected in my credit report. Is this accurate? If I dispute these accounts will it speed up the process and have them report as PIF more quickly?

I need to buy a new automobile within the next month or so and would like to get the best rate possible.

BAD IDEA!

The CRAs will probably delete the TL on you.

Wouldn't it be a good thing if they deleted the TL? Currently the TL shows the account as charged off over the last year and 120+ days late in the previous year. If it disappeared completely wouldn't that be better than showing as PIF on a chargeoff.
