fico/vantage scoring system

fico scoring system uses a score of 300-850, meanwhile vantage uses a score of 500- to 990 what really is the difference? whatever category it falls under for fico it should be in the same range for vantage. Secondly are creditors using myfico to determine our creditworth/vantage or both? can someone answer this question?

Re: fico/vantage scoring system

While both are vehicles to determine scores, Vantage is like a boat and FICO is like a car. You can only use one of them on the credit hi-way because lenders like concrete!

I love vantage. I know I'll never get a 850 fico score, but I did just pull a 990 vantage score! Your VantageScore is: 990 on a scale of 501-990. Your Risk Grade is: A It didn't play any special music when it came up, nor did I see any fireworks. I'm a little sad.

990, No Way! You're joking, right?
