Ummm just using CC's when funds were tough, managed to max most of them out. I did open new CC's during this time but maxed them out as well
Well i guess the only question here is, Are you in a position now to pay back?

about 2 weeks ago i paid down $23,000 of my $38,000 in credit card debit ................
my score only went up about 10 points , because only 1 of the credit cards($4,000) reported to back to the the 3 agencies...........
how often do they report back and does anybody know how long it takes for my score to rise ????
Most credit cards report the statement balance as soon as the statement cuts....so within 30 days I'm sure.
Your score will change immediately. Wait for all of your payments to post, and each card to cut it's next statement, THEN you'll see the real score affect.
Congrats!

So you still will have $15k on cards? Can you list out the cards, their available credit limit, and what the balances are on them now? That utilization percentage, on individual cards and overall, can hold down your score as well. So the promises of FICO 800 earlier in the thread? Maybe not yet.
Congratuilations on the big paydown, however, that is going to get the score moving in the right direction.
greats thanks alot !!
