How to change avatar to custom image?

As title states, when I go into my account settings its only giving me the option to choose from the collection. 

Was hoping to upload a pic. Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty sure I hit "Frequent Contributor" somewhere around 250. (And direct image posting still works for me...)

Forum statistics are not working with reliability.  I was super, now frequent.  Check other threads.  Can not tell if or when it will be fixed.  It is what it is, I believe they are working on it.

Al the ranks are now fixed.

You need to attain the rank of Regular Congrtributor in order to use an uploaded image as your forum avatar.

The forum ranking algorithm isn't public; not even the moderators know the exact formula.

What is known is that the rank is driven by participation and time spent on the forums, and that 'kudos' are not a factor.

If you're concerned about ranking up to be able to edit HTML in your signature or add a custom avatar don't worry... it typically doesn't take long.
