Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

I don't know I have both truecredit and myfico. My truecredit hasn't changed in over a month and I see now since someone posted that util is only 23% compared to myfico at 30% I see I really have to pay util closer to 0 to see the score jump there. Myfico has been up and down in the same time frame.

The other contributor is correct credit card companies post monthly in my case one of mine stated they post after the statement cuts. I then received a alert from myfico within a week. So I get updates anyday of the week from my fico.

IMHO it works, so I'm staying with both. They both have their uses.

I will keep this thread updated as the remaining alerts arrive so that YOU, my fellow paying customers, can see what kind of service we are PAYING for.

It took your credit card company 10-14 days to report it.

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

I too have both,True Credit and My Fico and there is a big diference between them.
TC had me at 655 and MY F at 633
I checked both scores today, and also my mortgage company checked my scores today for a refinance.Guess what score they gave me? 633
So...don't be fooled by the higher score on TC,that's not what the lenders are going to look for.
MY F is what they go by.
Actually got a copy of CB and i saw they use
TUC-FICO classic 2004
EFX-Equifax Beacon 5.0
EXP-Experia/Fair,Isaac model

I will cancel TC tomorrow, after 3 months, not wanting to be left to believe i have 700 when actually is 600

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

sevi,

MyFico provides FICO scores. TC or any other 3-in-1 service provides FAKOs. Advantages of a 3-in-1 are not the FAKOs. It's the daily pulls for repair work.

MyFico and TC are two different animals. I think the critique most have about MyFico, myself included, is that they seem to imply they are just another 3-in-1 but with true FICOs.

What do you mean ,repair?
What do you do ,pulling it daily?

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

Well, by repair I mean getting bads off your reports or getting the severity of the reporting reduced.

By daily pulls, I mean daily pulls of one's reports rather than just collating alerts.

Re: Cancelling Membership-This is not a good service

"I wonder if your Auto Loan guys Pulled your EX report. Or the one that was way off from the MyFicos. MyFICO only shows the EQ. report. I just skimmed the post but saw that part."
No - the auto guys pulled my Equifax score, which showed me being 100 points under my ScoreWatch FICO Score.  I pulled Experian when I got home just to compare.  I never received any alerts from Score Watch of my score going down. They still had me 100 points up when I cancelled my service. And the rude customer service rep told me that the Equifax credit score and the FICO score were different. So I still have no idea what I was paying to receive and who actually shows me at 778 or whatever :-)

The cust service rep gave you false info. Your EQ and FICO ScoreWatch scores are the same thing.

With that said.. how is your auto payment history? Althought similiar, auto scores will not be the same as the scores you see. Do a search for my auto credit thread for more details.

"The cust service rep gave you false info. Your EQ and FICO ScoreWatch scores are the same thing."

Then ScoreWatch wasn't working because I had no alerts in one month and last alert showed me at 778; EQ 100 points lower.

I probably don't have an auto payment history - have paid cash for my last two cars going back 10 years; prior to that, had a 5-year GM payment with not one late payment.  Will check into the auto credit thread, thanks for the tip !

No prob. Keep in mind there are known issues with ScoreWatch notifications right now.
