Fico 9 was introduced a couple of years ago. Fico says lenders are still evaluating it. Yet Fico 8, not 9, is the main score that myfico gives when I pulled the 3-report package. I had to scroll to the bottom, missed it the first time, to find the Fico 9 scores.
Is that because Fico 9 is/did not catch on? What percentage of the time are lenders using 8 versus 9?
I noticed that my types of Fico 9 scores are very uniform within each credit reporting agency, as well as inter-credit reporting agencies. Only a few points diferent from each other. Much less variation than with the Fico 8s across the board.
The other thing I noticed was that my Fico 9 main scores were 30 points higher than the Fico 8 scores.
Did I luck out, or are the 9 scores generally higher?
Either way, I hope 9 is being used, since I have higher scores there.
