Re: "Our apologies, an error has occur" message from MYFICO.COM TU

I had an issue similar to this error 160 though.
I now have TWO holds on my bank account of different amounts from "retrying" at a later time as the error message advised(the second time I used a discount code).
So I emailed customer service around 10am Central - no response.
I also called when I got off work.  I got an unenthusiastic service rep, who mumbled and told me "There's nothing we can do, log out of the site, and retry your purchase tomorrow.  Here's a discount code for 10% off."

I am disgusted at the poor level of customer service and would gladly go elsewhere for my 3 reports if there was anywhere else seemingly reputable to go...

I do realize the holds will vanish in 3-5 business days, but that's still a week that my 80 dollars sits useless to me with nothing to show for it.

Re: "Our apologies, an error has occur" message from MYFICO.COM TU

I think that there has been some sort of ongoing problem with TU reports and scores, and so if you're trying to pull all three scores, it hangs everything up. My TU report in general (not just here at myFICO) was not updated for a solid month, and others have waited even longer. I don't know if that is what has affected the pulls over here at myFICO.

I'm going to try to find someone who can help you out, although since today is Saturday, it might take a bit.

That makes sense, it'd be far less frustrating if customer service had told me THAT instead of just saying it's a technical issue try again tomorrow.  I was looking to get the Annual package that gives all three scores, if TU is the reason my order keeps failing, perhaps I should just go for the Suze package.  From what I gather it's three scores/reports, any combination, any time, so I could pick up the Ex and Eq now and the TU at a later date, with a minor price difference?

And thank you so much for the help and input Smiley Happy

Re: "Our apologies, an error has occur" message from MYFICO.COM TU

I honestly don't know if that is the cause of the problem; I just know that TU has been dreadfully slow in updating anything at all.

I think that your Suze solution might work! I hadn't thought of it that way. That could be a good workaround. I went through Suze once to see what was involved, and you're right, you don't have to pull all three at the same time. I would still run that by a CSR, though --I hate telling you that it would work and have it blow up.

One thing that seems to trip up a lot of new people though is that with the exception of Scorewatch, these scores do not update themselves. And even Scorewatch includes two EQ score pulls for the price, one which you get when you pay and another that can be pulled in the future. But these aren't a subscription service where you can dip in periodically and get updated scores and reports. Well, not without paying again, that is! Just sort of a general reminder/ warning. Re: "Our apologies, an error has occur" message from MYFICO.COM TU

Wellll, that plan was a bust lol
I finally got an email from Customer service.  They neglected to respond to the issue being "error 160" and my inability to purchase my reports.  All they said is "if you feel you've been missbilled, wait to see if the charges go through then contact if so."
I'm super disappointed in the customer service I've attempted to receive so far.

I went ahead and tried the Suze package.  Good news it went through!
Worse news than before, it went through but is still giving me error 160 whenever I attempt to access either of the 3 reports.

I'm pretty disgusted at this point.

I'm afraid to call again right now because I'll be unfairly rude to customer service when they feed me the same we can't help you sorry bs.

*edit* After a few deep breaths I called back and got a young woman that I vented a brief run down to.  She said she thinks it's the spelling of my name.  Legally it has an apostrophe AND space in it, however computer documentation done by the credit companies disregards it so it was blocking the pulling process.  She had a super take care of it and it was solved in less time than it took the last guy to pull up my account.  I ended up with the Suze package which wasn't my initial preference but I'll take what I can get haha

I'm even more happy because 2 of the 3 Fico's are higher than the "fakos" I got off Truecredit in the mean time.  Ex is actually 41 points higher!
