USAA rewards changes

The new USAA rewards system is live. Not seeing any positive changes. You can choose from several different redemption options but none appear to be discounted so why would you? Also gone is the ability to redeem any amount. Minimum redemptions are as follows-

Manual redemption: $1

Donation to charity: $10

Recurring redemption: $25

Gift card: $25

Travel: $50

Re: USAA rewards changes

Beware ... USAA has been naughty and is almost on life support for how they have been performing.

Surprised they are still around (not).

Re: USAA rewards changes

Thanks for the heads-up.

I'm also not too impressed; actually the whole update seems like it was unnecessary.  At least they still seem to put cash rewards from multiple cards into the same bucket.

I'm super thankful for USAA giving me my first 'big boy' credit card years ago, but they just aren't what they used to be.  I could excuse some of their more recent stumbles, but instead of getting better they seem to be getting worse.  Adding to that, their rigid policies are just no longer competitive (no product changes, no APR adjustments, etc.).  And don't even get me started on the nerfing of the Limitless Visa, smdh. Sorry for getting off-topic... thanks for the update, @Bockrocker!

Will add their actions as a banking institution has been called out by the several Federal related banking agencies. They need to improve and it is most unfortunate as they gave me a start too! Smiley Sad
