Has anybody had any issue with Equifax not updating the score on MyFico? I keep getting alerts for changes but my score hasn’t moved in the month I’ve had it. It’s moved on the Experian app.
Yes! I had an action recently (collection account removed) that raised my EX score by 25 points, and my TU score by 18 points. Equifax recognizes the removal, but my score did not increase. I also has a cc balance decrease, which dropped my overall utilization to 6%. That gave me an 8 point bump on EX and a 6 point bump on TU, but nothing on EQ. I just don't get it.
Ok so I know it's just not me. I don't know what the issue is but it's annoying.
YES!!! I still have no answer as to why from Equifax or MyFico. I had a 52/53 pt difference between EQ and TU/EX. All the same alerts. I saw somewhere in here that buying a report updated the score so I did. It worked but makes me angry that I had to pay to get what I should have been getting with my regular subscription. I have three more positive events coming up in the next week or so. I'll see if anything budges for EQ. Currently there's a 20 point difference between EQ and TU/EX. I know that could be accurate but after the last time, I don't really trust my EQ score.
@kberly69 Wow so by purchasing another report it updated? How much is another report? Hopefully that doesn't have to be bought to continue getting updates. I might try it though.
MyFico EQ 1b was $20. I'm shooting for a mortgage in the next two weeks so I'm all over my scores and couldn't take it anymore!
Do not buy EQs product from them. Its a vantage score and pretty useless.
@kberly69 I just wish someone would figure out the problem so we wouldn't have to purchase something additional. I'm just worried that it might not update when it's time again. I have the my fico family plan so I'm already paying $53 for that.
I purchased it this evening. My score did not change. 🤔
@Anonymous Ok so now I really don't want to spend the extra $20. This is ridiculous. I've just read through numerous complaints on the forum about Equifax not updating and it does seem like Equifax only updates when a report is available. With the family plan my report is only available quarterly which sucks and I should have read the description better when I signed up. I might end up just canceling and switching over to Experian.
