Opening A Penfed Account Question.

I was wanting to join and open a Penfed savings account and was looking for some info before opening the account if it would be a HP or SP on my credit and if it is a HP which credit bureau do they pull from?  TIA.

In the past I know Penfed pulls Equifax. If I am wrong others from my fico will correct me.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and joined Penfed and opened a savings account and it was a SP on my EQ. Thanks again!

They were a hard pull on Equifax back in May when I opened my savings account.

@CardHunterDid the SP stick? I joined in Feb and it was a HP to join but I was able to use the same HP for the Power Cash card.

I joined a month ago to open a savings account and it was SP only.

Penfed uses EQ 9 ..last yr they used SP to open  Savings account

Sorry for the delay responding, yes it was just a SP on EQ when I joined. No alerts as of today of a HP. but I only signed up for the savings account just to get a foot in the door.

Big fan of PenFed! They SP my membership 2 years ago, but HP on EQ 9 for the CCs I have. For a HELOC they pull EQ 5.

They do HP for a CLI or at least they did for me and I can live with that.

I think it's safe to say they are all about EQ.
