and tri merged reports still unavailable today
of course one of the few times i am interested in pulling a report for a time sensitive matter ...
hey why don't they just close shop. EX (as far as i am concerned) did.
this is what a CS told me when i called, wondered if others experienced issues... wasn't sure that i should post until confirmed-
EQ is down for DW and I
Tried CS and direct from EQ - no go on either.
CS message was that I already pulled a report today (last pull was friday).
Trying EQ direct didn't go through ($0 on the invoice page), saying they could pull the report but not the FICO?
Grrrrrrrrr

I can't get mine either. Was it really a power outage? Shoudn't that have been resolved once the power was restored?
i asked that very question and the cct cs said that today they have been trying to regain access to EQ but are still unable to interface with them as a consequence of this "power outage' over the weekend. apparently others have had problems receiving data direct from EQ prior to this reported power outage so sounds like there may be a few variables that led to this total collapse of EQ reporting. if this continues, it reeks of refunds from EQ, cct, cs etc. which is clearly the least of the inconvenience if you require access..
sue me, but when it comes to the big 3 i don't have an overabundance of patience. i'm ticked!
If EQ had their data center actually go power out in an "ungraceful" outage, then it can possibly affect their ability to restore services until they do data restoration from backups.
Most data centers run RAID configurations meaning that the data is "striped" across multiple hard drives in a special "redundant" algorithm to provide more data safety and speed. However, if the power were interrupted unplanned (without UPS and backup power) then this can crash data storage RAID drives and force them to reconfigure the RAID drives and then restore data from backup tapes.
IF THIS IS TRUE, then they have their servers in substandard data center. All reputable data centers have fully integrated UPS (uniterruptable power supply) with diesel generator backups in case of the power grid going down. If power is lost, the UPS takes over without interruption. If the outage extends, then backup generators kick in to feed the UPS and servers. If they don't have adequate UPS and backups, then if the power outage actually occurred and it extended past their ability of the UPS, then system crashes could occur.
With the state of their site (slow, can't login, data errors, etc. for months) I don't know what to believe. But if they had a power outage that actually affected them, then they are the most substandard data service provider I can think of.
And to think that we must rely on such substandard means to determine our credit worthiness. Really ticks me off!
I have not been able to pull my EQ report since Sunday. I called customer service twice and was told both times that they were updating their systems and I should try back in 5-6 hours! No mention of a power outage each time I called...
