Does anyone know?

Does anyone have any of these cards? Who backs travelocity and pay pal cards? Do any of these cards do a soft pull or use internal information when requesting a CLI?

Travelocity Visa
Orchard Bank Visa
Hsbc master card
Paypal comsumer credit.

Trying to find out more information for someone in bringing down her overall UTIL by getting a CLI without getting a hard inq against the CRA's.

Thanks in advance for any information you can contribute.

Most do a soft, but as always, you should expect to take a hard since you are actually requesting more credit. HSBC always tells me they will have to pull a report but they always soft me. GEMB has been soft, and not sure on Juny.

Re: Does anyone know?

I have the Trav MC.  There was no option to do a consumer initiated CLI, but I rec'd one w/ a soft pull when my card hit the 1 year mark.  They took me from 2k to 3k.

Re: Does anyone know?

HSBC did a hard inq for my first card w/ them and just soft for the second. I'd beware of orchard-all the cards I saw them offer had hefty fees and high int. rates. I don't know any card worth $250 in fees!

Re: Does anyone know?

I have an HSBC MC w/ a 6k limit.  It started at 1.5k about 5 years ago.  All of my CLIs were softs and all but one were automatic.

HSBC -- the one I can't let loose!
