CareCredit Decline

I'm getting dentures. I had absolutely every reason to expect to be aproved by CareCredit for the $6K needed for the process. I haven't apped for anything for 6 months. I have zero balances on any of my credit cards. I have a $4500 GEMB credit limit already with NO balance. GEMB/Carecredit would not pick me up. They would not let me transfer CL from my Ritz Camera to a CareCredit account. My FICO scores are all about 700. NOBODY gets turned down for CareCredit. Can anybody explain this thing?

Re: CareCredit Decline

BTW, I cashed 2 CDs and paid cash for the procedure. I can do without credit cards altogether if the banks keep this up.

seems they've tightened significantly, if sporatically, and seem to sometimes deny based more on 'market conditions' reasons.  it appears they will even summarily deny nose bleed scores now if, for example, the occupation is considered risky.

another member with a senior analyst friend at gemb posted about this not too long ago.  also, did you see this recent thread where the OP EQ is 776, no lates, no baddies no inquiries = DENIED?

score_, I'll run over and take a look at that thread for curiositys sake. I'm not that much conserned about the denial, I just that CareCredit would be a good thing to have in the bag for a guy who is getting older and lacks some coverages in his regular insurance plans; namely dental.

Anyway, demographics as a reason to be denied. Las Vegas. OK. But I rent, no mortgage.

Occupation? Hah. I make everybody on the planet's generic trash bags. In economic hard time we cost less than GLAD and make a better product. I'm busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest. Smiley Happy

i'd say!  now that's an always in high demand product and recession proof professional endeavor... hmm, where can i get some of those quality bargain bags in nyc!

i'm just glad you were able to get the work done relatively easily despite the surprising denial.  they can whip up some really amazing natural looking dentures these days- so for the money at least you can get a comfortable & brilliant new smile Smiley Happy

Husky and/or Kirkland brands. Wal-Mart, Lowes, Costco. Almost all the generics and they work great. We are builing new facilities as fast as we can build them. We're from Grand Prairie Texas.
