String them along to re establish payment history or just pay it off?

I have a problem child account with Dell/CIT Bank.  That TL is killing me. here are my late payments: 60 days two times Jan 09 and Sept 08; 90+ days three times Feb 09, Mar 09 and April 09

I paid them in April over the phone but they still post it as late, it's not true. another story.

I have aggresively paid this down because quite frankly, I don't like doing business with them and my interest rate is 29% . twenty nine.

I am down to only having a 200 balance. This account is closed. Even with the balance reporting on a closed account, TU utilization is only at 14%.

not sure about EQ as Dell has not posted my last payment at all on EQ or  EQ didn't update...and I have not pulled a new EQ Score power...

In anycase, while I understand the interest part of it all, could I better off taking my time for the next three months to pay off the 200 to establish payment history? All other cards and loans always paid on time, no lates to report.... or just finish the job, and give em the last two hundred anad call it a day. part ways. and begin to gw gw gw...

your thoughts?

Starting Score: 682 EQ, 663 TU

I'd PIF ASAP. The 3 months of added history won't benefit your score any. IMO, your odds of GW acceptance is the same now as it would be as if you stretched the payments out.

Thanks Illecs. I'll just PIF them end of month and be done. Carrying at 29% interest rate is outrageous!
