I used to have a medical collection on my acct from an ER visit back in 2013. The collection "fell off" or was removed back in March. I received a letter and phone call from a collector a month after that about said debt. I never responded to them because 1) it was an old debt and outside the SOL for them to take me to court and 2) because it had already fallen off of my account. Monday I received a notice that credit score had dropped 30 points. When I checked my reports, the debt collector is reporting my 2013 bill as new debt with a new origination date. What are my options? Do I dispute with CRA about the age of debt? Do I even talk to the collectors? Please help.  ... View more

I applied or tried applying for the BB&T card. I wanted the cash rewards because 2% cash back for paying utilities sounds awesome. Went through the prequal and received 3 offers. After inputting all of my information, I received this message   "Unfortunately, we are experiencing difficulties and are unable to continue your BB&T Spectrum Cash Rewards Credit Card application online. Please try again later or visit your local BB&T branch to apply in person."   Has anyone had that happen before? I don't want to apply in person because I'm trying to avoid a hard pull. I've been trying to figure out how get a cli from PayPal credit for some time. Today I logged in on my chrome app and saw the "luv button" and tried my luck. I was denied the 5000 limit that I asked for but was approved for an increase from 1250 --> 3800. I don't use this account for much. I applied for the JetBlue Plus and WF Propel cards yesterday. JetBlue was approved instantly making it my first Barclay card. Propel went to "pending" and I received an email saying that they needed to verify some things about my application. I called the number provided and the rep was nice. Said he didn't know what exactly needed to be verified and asked pretty standard questions. Told me that I should have a reply in 24 hours. Logged into my WF acct this morning and saw the new account. This is my first AMEX. I'm going to pump my brakes and not apply for anything else right now. Will be saying goodbye to my credit one cards.  Most recent DP: TU 755 EX 760 EQ 723  Utilization: 1% Prior to these apps, I was 0/24 for new lines of credit. I called Wells Fargo yesterday to try and product change my rewards card to a propel. When I spoke with the representative on the phone, she said she would try to get me to the department that does that. She came back a minute later and said that the department is actually closed due to covid19. They've taken those workers and have them taking regular callers because of the high call volume.  I'm wondering if I should just apply for the propel outright? Hello. I have been seeing the "luv" button on my acct for a month or so, but had been too scared to push it. Mainly because I was at 90% utilization across the board on all my cards for a while. I finally got serious about paying down my credit lines last November. After I pay off BofA, they'll be azeo (I'm waiting for torrid to refund my returns and then that will be zero too).    Acct History Secure line opened Fall of 2017 - $500 Graduated 06/2018 - Auto CLI to $2500 Today - CLI to 6000   Next plan is to cancel my credit one cards.
