Hello, I'm in the process of trying to rebuild and I'm having a hard time. I filed for Ch 7 bk twice in 2015 but didnt follow though with it. However in 2018 I filed Ch 7 and was discharged. Now all 3 are showing on my CR but I only had 1 discharge. I didn't know that just by opening a Bk case that it would affect me even if I didn't follow through with a discharge. Right now all of my credit scores are around 650's. I've only been able to get a Cap One $2200 CL and a Creditone $1500 CL. My car broke down so I recently purchased a used vehicle with a horrible interest rate of almost 15%. So I have attempted to apply for other cards and I get the same message denial about too many BK's. So is there anything I can do? Or should I leave things as they are and just let time pass?

I need some help. My credit scores are around 690-700. I am looking to purchase my first home. I am looking for a new loan that will incorporate maybe a car loan and credit card debt. Are there any loans like that?

Visorboy Do you mind providing the names of your creditors. I have Navy Fed $12,500, Barclay $5,000, DCU $7,500, and Duval FCU $10,000 and a few small store cards.

This has happened to me, but only it was with a family member. It was not a 5 star restaurant but it went like this: My parents and I live in different states, so when I come to town I like to treat them out to dinner (A dinner is best I can do since I can never repay them for all they have done for me through out the years). So my date with them is to always go to this place that does a seafood buffet (mind you it is $50 per person). So the last time I was home my cousin decided to invite herself to come along. When the bill comes..she pulls out $3. I was PISSED. Not just because she did not have any money..but also because I am selfish when it comes to spending time with my parents. I didnt say anything..just paid the bill like a SUCKER...

My bankruptcy was discharged in 2008. In that bankruptcy I included sprint (among several other accounts). Well today I get notification from Experian that I have a new negative account account reporting. This is the same sprint account and it looks like they have sold the account to Enhanced Recovery Corporation. What can I do? I called the CA and was told that they would make not on the account. That is not the issue. I either want it removed And it to state on my CR that it was included in bankruptcy. They have the account with a date as of 2010 which is the date that the account was sold to them I assume. Any advice? I offered to send over my bankruptcy papers but they declined. No help from Sprint. Well Sprint did give me a National Disputes number but when I called it was some type of a adult phone line..I'm pissed. HELP.. Does anyone know a fax or something that I can send the info to?

Thank you Robert. That was funny..the system gaming me (LOL). I was not trying to game the system..(OK maybe a little). I was just thinking that since I had already taken the hit that maybe it would not affect me later..but I get your point. Thanks.

Hello I really need some advice. I have been given great advice since being on this forum. I was able to bring my credit score from 585 to 650 (still working on it). Let me start off my saying that I filed for Chapter 7 in Aug '07. So since that time I have been working hard rebuilding my credit. Ok...so back in May I applied and was approved for a used car loan with Navy Federal. Well I went back and forth with Navy Federal on the terms of my loans about 5 times. So guess what? When I pulled my credit report I found that the bank opened and closed 5 car loans ...all in good standings. But, my problem is that this caused my average age of account to go from 6.3 years down to 2.1 years. This has caused my credit score to drop all the way down to 599.. I was so shocked!!!!. I know I could probably dispute the accounts and have them removed, but then I started thinking if there was a way I could use this to benefit me. It does help me to have positive accounts appear on my credit reports since I still have the public record and 4 baddies . Since I am attempting to rebuild my credit anyway I could keep the accounts on, take the hit now and benefit down the road. Or am I thinking of this in the wrong way?

I decided to apply for a barclay's credit card... but received the following message: Thank you for applying. The Card issuer, Barclays, will need more time to review the information you provided for your Barnes & Noble MasterCard® application. There is no need to reapply and it may take up to 10 days to process your application. Barclays will send you an email upon review of your application.
