Does anyone know how long of a job history is needed to qualify for a refi.  My daughter is a student and has started an internship job. Her current car loan is listed with me as the co-signer at 13%.  Her scores are in the high 700's so I was hoping she could apply for the refi with just her name but I dont know if the length of employment will be an issue.   Credit History: Capital One Auto loan (1 year old)- Never late paid as agreed Discover (3 mos)- Paid as agreed   UPDATE!!!!!!! I am helping my daughter build her credit she is a college student. Hello Everyone! I am excited! So I paid my Amex chargeoff last month and received the Optima Oasis application. Well I thought I would apply for re-establishment of the Gold Skymiles again instead.  Well I was declined and told I needed to just apply for a new card.  I applied via phone and received an immediate denial.  I called and they said they would put it in manual review.  Well I looked today and was denied again!  So I called and got a gentleman on the phone and he said I would get a letter in the mail.  I thought I'm calling back because I don't understand.  I got the nicest lady on the phone and she said let me see if I can put a smile on your face.  She said check your email and WOW it said CONGRATULATIONS approved!!!! Paid AMEX 1898.00 hoping I get the Optima Oasis application approval when the app comes. Exp due to fall off 8/18 EE/TU due to fall of 2/19 From reading the post I'm hoping that I get the card and the old chargeoff is removed.  I know when the balance is zero my score should jump up even if it is not removed.   Now if I can get my final baddie Portfolio Recovery removed! I will be paying Portfolio the balance in full $814 and hope I can get it removed by sending emails like others in the forum that have had success sending an email.    I will then have everything in paid status on my report. After seeing how some have received the AMEX Optima offer I called and asked if I pay in full will I qualify and was repeatly told NO.  I called on different days and they would always so NO and I see you have called about this before and you do not qualify.   I decided to call yesterday and inquire about a settlement offer and was told they needed to transfer me to the person that handles my account.  As soon as I mentioned I'm interested in a settlement offer I was then told I qualified for the AMEX Optima Offer with a credit line of $500.  So I really hope that I do!  I told him I will call back as I can pay the full amount $1800.00 at the end of the week.  He was explaining how the card is a program with AMEX to help reestablish you with AMEX but that you can not have an existing card with them.   I just received a Corporate AMEX through my job but it did not pull my credit nor is it reporting on my credit report so I would think that will not count as an existing card.   Has this happened to anyone else?
