MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Like many others, I did not appreciate the significance of credit when I was younger. Although I had fun and traveled through Europe on credit cards, my credit was in the toilet up until a couple of years ago. It can be a SLOOOOOWWWW process trying to re-establish yourself in the eyes of lenders but I have made huge progress from where I was. I am 34 and every car I had purchased before today was a cash purchase due to not having solid credit. Not having had an auto loan previous to this is what I was worried about most trying to get approved. I read so many posts in these forums and listened to others people's stories and can say that it helped me out tremendously through the car buying process. To all of those that shared their experiences, thank you very much and good luck to everyone out there! Myfico is a wonderful place

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Just moved to the west coast from east coast about two months ago for a massive salary bump, ran up my revolving debts getting setup/established out here... scores are 629/657/649. Should be back in the 700s+ by spring. Have no intention of having loan for 7 years, will likely just pay it off completely by june and take the small hit to score as I normally only seek credit when building credit or it is convienient to do so.
I had 1 unpaid account in collections from 2011 with an amount of $111.00. No late payments, no derog, etc...
This is my DW's new purchase.
It's a CPO 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe. They were asking 19988, I talked them to 17535. With 2K down.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: My Ch7 was discharged in Dec. 2012, so I am happy to get a car at a low rate. I was worried. Capital One was great. I used the blank check and the dealership couldn't beat the rate.
