Credit Score 760 vs 790+ for Auto loan

I am about to apply my first auto loan. I have 9 credit cards, 1 personal loan, Oldest acct 5 yr old and Credit scores around 760. I read that I can maximise my CS by paying off all credit card debt and leaving a smll balance on 1 card. If I do that I think my scores will increase by 20 points, but I will have to wait a couple of weeks till the balances are reported and CS is updated.

Is there a huge difference in terms of APR for a CS of 760 vs a CS of 780 or 790?

IMHO no. I was able to get the best rate at around 740 if I recall. My loan is with DCU.
