Post bankruptcy cards

I over-app, I'll admit that. I got a Capitol one basic platinum about 2 weeks post discharge, a credit one (yuck but helps with utilization and it will NEVER carry a balance). Checked Capitol one's pre approval site for fun and was pre approved for a cash rewards card...okay. I apped and got it! 0% apr until December then 19.8% and tiny rewards but it felt really good to be approved! I don't us credit for things I can't afford right then, shop with my credit card then pay it from my iPhone immediately.
It feels good to be moving on up! Also, credit score is at 590 (FICO) - was 490 last September!

Re: Post bankruptcy cards

What's more important is how you manage that credit card post bankruptcy. Don't end up in another tough predicament. Almost 19% can add up and become unmanageable quickly.

Re: Post bankruptcy cards

Absolutely agreed! That's the plan, absolutely.
I filed pro se and after that huge pain in the butt, I'm unwilling to let that happen again.
