The back story: I've been rebuilding my credit (BK7 dc'ed 10/12) so I got a secured card from NFCU and at 12 months the card graduated to $3K. Two days after that - I requested and CLI for $10K and was instantly approved. Yippee!
DH has poor credit due to his home being awarded to his ex-wife and she has failed to make payments on it. So... lates payments have been reported on his CR since Novenmber 2012. His credit score is roughly in the 500's. His last score said 575 and jumped to 595 for some reason (we think some inq fell off) Star Card is 90% util ($6K). Kay's has a zero balance at $2500 and I just added him as an AU on Barclay. I think he has 8 pulls on EQ and 7 baddies in the last 10 yeards.
Since I had good luck with NFCU he wanted to try his hand at it. Applied for the nRewards Visa - got the 3-5 day message. Sent an email explaining his credit history and this morning he woke up to a $2,000 credit limit.
