At what point during check out should you receive the pop-up? Do you hvae to actually enter credit card info and select continue before the pop-up happens?
I had my GF add me to her account sometime last year and it finally started reporting to TU a few months back and it backdated to when she opened the account in 2001. Just a heads up to people who thought about getting added on as an AU

you can also keep it your sock drawer... I got pre-approval and card in august and just used it tonight, 7 months before the first use of the card was pushing things. And in a couple months when the card is 9 months old I will request a CLI, which is a SP, and you can request CLI's every 3 months after the first one.
Wow.
I wanted to CONFIRM that this works.
I made an account at Victoria's Secret (which is free).
I used the SAME informaiton found in my credit files (exact spelling of name, current address, home phone number, etc).
I picked an item at random.
I MADE SURE THAT MY POPUP BLOCKER WAS OFF. If you don't allow popups YOU WON'T GET THIS OFFER.
I proceeded to checkout - by clicking the CHECKOUT button.
then POOOOOF. A pretty square popped up saying I was "pre-approved" for a Victoria's Secret Angel Card up to $500.
All I had to do was fill in my DOB (date of birth) and the LAST FOUR of my social security number.
HIT CONTINUE.
That swirly thing goes round and round showing that it's thinking and then voila.
A white box pops up saying that was APPROVED for a $500 line of credit.
"Your new Angel Card will arrive in the mail within the next 10 days, ..."
This is cause to start crossdressing.
By the way: noticed a debate in the thread about whether this is a hard or soft pull.
I WILL CHECK AND REPORT BACK. I have a couple monitoring services that I pay for so I should get an alert (or not) within 24 hours or so. If I get news, I'll report it. If I get no news, I'll report that, too.
That way people will be able to rest easy.
Is there a min. score that gets the approval?
