CSP approved with baddies... somehow

Got approved for the CSP a few minutes ago. Received initial 7-10 day message followed by an email saying 30 days.

I called UW and spoke to a very nice lady. We verified my income and employment. Then the part I dreaded... Explaining the baddies. We went over a bogus collection and bogus recent 30 day late. I woke up to a 12 point EX drop this morning BC of that late. Went over a paid voluntary surrender and paid CO, both are legit.

Somehow after explaining all of it, it ended up with an approval for $5k, and I'm NOT complaining about that. Highest CL before this was BCE $2.5k. AAoA 5yr 3mo. Util 6% reported income $115k. Had the freedom $1k CL for 9 mo with very heavy usage. 16 INQ, mostly from auto/home shopping last year.

2 questions...how do you get this bad boy expedited shipping? And should I/ can I ask for CLI on freedom? We got approved for a car loan this morning and this was last card app for a while so HP doesn't matter.

ETA: They pulled EX for sure and just got a CK alert saying they pulled TU also. EX FICO 658, TU FICO 647

If the card has not been sequenced for printing then you can have it expedited, call and ask them. As for a CLI on Chase, I would wait. They generally want to see a years worth of payment and history. You may have to explain the inquires if you do decide to go for the CLI.

Re: CSP approved with baddies... somehow

Congrats on the approval and CL! I've been trying to get in with Chase for the past year, but they absolutely will not let me in at all. I always get that dreaded 7-10 day further review message followed by the 30 day email. It sucks to keep receiving emails from Marriott Rewards wanting you to apply for their CC, while knowing you can't get approved for it.

I've never tried calling the backdoor number though. I just figured a denial was a denial. I might try again in 6 months and if I get the same response, I'll give that number a try.

Re: CSP approved with baddies... somehow

Congrats!!!!! Chase is very understanding of baddies if you are honest and on path to rebuilding, they approved me in 2013 for the Amazin Chase Visa card when I had 7 baddies on my report.

Thank you and yes that sure seems to be the case. I burned them for a whopping $400 back in ~2007. Guess they forgot or something
