Chase Freedom Crazy Auto CLI - Update, CLI Reversed

Update- Checked today as my Chase statement cut, and the CLI is no longer showing. Will likely try calling and sending a secured message, but sadly I didn't take any screenshots of the new CL yesterday. Also, I suppose this might need to be moved out of Approvals if a mod sees it.

Hi everyone! I honestly didn't think I'd have anything to post in this section for a while, but I just logged in to Chase and got quite the surprise. My Freedom went from 2.2K to 7.2K!  Not only is that is a huge CLI from Chase who I've read is conservative, but the craziest part is that I've only had the card about a month, my first statement hasn't even cut. I'm extremely curious as to why they gave it, but I'm way too scared to actually call and ask.

Just to give a bit of background. I got my first Chase card early this year, February I think, which was the Chase Amazon rewards. They gave me a 2K line, which surprised me coming from Chase, who had denied me in the past. Since then I ran maybe a thousand or two through the card, I'm not too sure. Might be slightly more. I purchase stuff from Amazon for family members because I have Prime, so that helps. I always paid in full, and have had a $0 balance on that card for a couple of weeks, since the last statement.

For the Freedom, I've spent around $800-$900 since I got it, and made a $450 payment last week as I wanted to keep my utilization down (statement has yet to cut).

Other factors to possibly consider:

I messaged Chase about the account because the initial spend bonus went from $100 to $200 today, so I asked if they could credit me the other $100 since my account was new. I was checking my account to see if they had replied when I noticed the CLI, so the CLI was granted at roughly the same time I got a response on my inquiry about the spend bonus. Which was granted btw, I got 10K more UR points. Smiley Very Happy

I recently added two authorized users to this card, no idea if that has any kind of impact, seems doubtful.

Likely the biggest extra factor I think: I was added as an authorized user to my Dad's Chase Slate last week, and I just received/activated the card today, also roughly around the same time as the CLI on the Freedom. His Slate account is about as old or older than me (around 20 years), and has a 20K limit, so if that has already factored into Chase's internal score for me then it might have made a big impact?

I'd be quite interested in input from others on what might have played the main role in this CLI!

In any case, I'm ecstatic today from all this! Enrolled in Discover's double cash back promotion, got an extra $100 from Chase, and most of all, got a massive CLI which I didn't think would happen for probably a year! I quite honestly let out an audible "Holy **bleep**!" when I saw the new limit (only thing is now I'm going to keep checking to see if it was a mistake and gets revoked, lol). Today turned out to be a very good day! Smiley Happy

Re: Chase Freedom Crazy Auto CLI

One other question actually. Now that I have more than a 5K limit on this card, is it possible to get it upgraded to Visa Signature? Does anyone have experience with that? I'd love some insight!

Re: Chase Freedom Crazy Auto CLI

Thanks for posting, I was able to get the additional spend bonus.  I just opened my account early May, the rep said you have 90 days, for anyone else with a new account Smiley Happy

Thanks! Seams reasonable I suppose. I'll probably check with them a while down the road to see if they can tell me anything.
