Hey guys,
I took the plunge this morning and apped for the Ritz-Carlton Rewards card. Got a 30 day message. I called in and they said it needed verification. i figured I'd call around lunch to geive them some time and I just got a call from them. Asked me a few questions from Public Domain and she said that I'd receive a letter in 7 days with further instructions (probably to send a utility bill or something). Everyone cross your fingers. If I get this, It will be my last app for a looooooooong time. Really hoping I can get this card.

Hopefully you applied with one of the higher end offers to offset the trouble you are going through. It sounds like it may be an approval in the end.
ALL of their higher end offers are disabled. I wish. I'm gonna try and call if i get approved and at the very least get my AF waived for the first year. maybe get the 70k bonus if im lucky
Good Luck! Sounds like you will be approved, they would take the time with you, otherswise.
Quick update:
I got another call asking to provide a copy of my DL.
The man told me that if i fax it, itll take 5-7 days to process, but if i go into a branch and have them scan it, it'll take 4 hours. So I went to a branch and the banker called 5 different numbers to try and see WHAT she needed to do, and was told a different thing by every single person. Finally they did what I asked and scanned it in. I left the branch and about an hour later called in to see if everything was going swimmingly. One person said they see it and it would be another 4 hours, but transferred me to the dedicated Ritz Carlton team, where a rather rude lady said it would take 14 days no matter what. Would not listen to me when i said that 4 other representatives including someone on her team said 4 hours. I'm gonna call after dinner and maybe get a different (nicer) rep. Wish me luck. hopefully its an approval after all this trouble.
