First $5000 approval

I started rebuilding my credit last year starting with low to mid 500's. I applied for a cap1 secured card and it is now $300. I tried for the first premier card sept 9th and it took forever to get a response on whether I was approved or denied. I sent several supporting i.d documents and 28 days later, nothing. I called and canceled the app. Then on Oct 4 2013 I applied for Fred Meyers Visa rewards abd got the we are reviewing your app message. I figured I was denied. Then I got am email from US bank saying congrats and the card is on the was in 7-10 days. DH encourages me to call to ask the limit and the guy says $5000 while we were at Chuck E Cheese with our kids. I was grinning so hard DH asked the limit I mouthed $5000 and he says no way I then get the agent to repeat the amount and DH was super happy too. I have a FICO EQ OF 667 Experian from ex.com of 606 and CK of 627.

my scores are similar to yours, and maybe a little better. But ive never gotten more than a 500 dollar approval..

Well congrats! That's really great.

I have scores in the 700s & since I started getting cards still haven't got $5000! The highest I have is $4800.

I've never heard of the card either but nice limit. Cap 1 sucks imo. Seems like lots of people get low starting limits.

I do not have any on my EQ. Only 2 inqs before us bank now I am at 3. I do a have 3 on my Experian and 1 on my Trans. These are charge offs due to fall off in a few weeks.
