I just applied for a Capital One Quicksilver. I have a Platinum that was upgraded to a QS already which was just raised to $3800 from my Credit Steps CLI. I thought I'd see what the prequal said and they approved me for a QS at 7% less than what I have, 9 months interest free, and $100 bonus if I spend $500 in 3 months. I debated a little about it, but decided I could combine the two later and keep building on it. Keep in mind I was discharged from Chapter 7 BK on 10/6/16. I filled it in, pushed the button and after a dramatic pause due to a slow internet connection today...... was APPROVED FOR $10,000!!!!! I cannot even believe it. I stared at the screen for the longest time expecting it to say, "OOPS, sorry, we goofed" but IT'S REAL!!!!!!
I am soooo having a beer on the deck and reveling in my upward credit journey!
Excellent, congrats on the approval of your Quicksilver. How are you planning to use that card?
Congrats, kberly69! It is so exciting to see that 5 figure number pop up on an approval!
(BTW, I had deja vu reading your post...also have a Platinum to QS upgrade that sits at $3800 right now, and I got the same $10000 SL on the QS WEMC as well back in December.)

Wow congrats on the awesome approval Op that's amazing , could you share some data points with us plz , I'm on mobile and can't see your sig. Also what did your card with Credit Steps start out at ? I'm due for my Steps increase Monday ! Don't think it will be much though
In March my scores were: EQ 702 TU 676 EX 673 I cancelled myFICO subscription so I don't know where I am today, but CK and CS were up a few points this month so I'm guessing I had some gains in my FICO scores too. My card started at $3000, I requested a CLI around 3 or 4 months and got $300 and my Credit Steps increase was the $500 they promised ($3800 total). I was a little bummed it wasn't more because Ive read it can be better than what they quote. Today more than makes up for it though!

Wisely! I am going to roll the other one into it and use it for my bills, groceries, etc. With this limit, I don't have to worry about utilization anymore which is a relief! It gets so tiring babysitting these cards, checking dates, and making multiple payments.

No kidding! I was covering my eyes while it was processing and was hoping to see $5K at the very best. Cheers to you!!
So, I have checked three times since the approval, and it's still real!!
