I posted in the credit card section about a app spree I was thinking about doing as I got my UTL down to 20% on my primary card. I apped for 2 cards so far and got approved!

Sallie Mae: $1000

Disocver IT: no idea.

The Discover card was odd. It actully took some time and came back with an "offer" so it reconned me? Anyway it was still the IT card with the 5% cash back cateogires but the high 22% APR it had me accept those terms and I think there was a min finance charge? Anyway I'm just happy to get it with my BK and my rebuilding.

The Sallie Mae gave me the dreaded 7-10 day message so I called the barclay normal number in the backdoor list told them I'd like to recon and was transfered to a nice gent. He asked me my wage and how long I've been working etc. He then asked why my BK happended and the high balance on the cap 1 card. I told him I paid it down but they haven't updated (true). He asked me how much I put on the card and how much I pay it and he approved me right there for 1k. Great foot in the door with a great card!!

I'm half tempted to try for the Citi double card but I'm not sure what else to app for. Pretty exciting to get new cards! I can finally get rid of my shopping cards and my secure card!

Awesome! I want the Sallie too! My TU SCORE is 663 after dropping 12 points because of an accidental zero balance. Looks like I may have a good shot!

Congrats! I just got those 2 cards myself the past couple days. We are trying to be a "cash back" family moving forward...

So I got itchy and apped for the citi double card. Got declined. The recon number did squat for me so I called EO. Nice lady transfered me to the EO "Credit card" people and got a nice gent.

He took down my info and asked the same questions as Discover. Said he has to send it off to a analysit but will call me with the decision. I may or may not get it but figured I'd try it!

While I was on the phone I called Disocver and found out it's a 2k credit line! Yay!

Congrats on both! I soooo want the Sallie but need to wait until at least January 2016 to allow some inquiries to age ... I'm envious!
