AMEX and Teletrack

After being turned down by AMEX 20 + times because of Teletrack, I wanted to start a thread on it.

I have read just about everything there is to read about them on the internet, and every question seems to have three different answers.

I have perfect credit, all 700 and above, make 130 K a year, been on the job 10 years, and yet this TELETRACK keeps beating me in the head.

Im serving overseas right now making it difficult to do any local research.

So I am asking for anyone with specific turndown history with AMEX because of Teletrack to post what happened to them.

Dont be confussed there is "Teletrack" and "Checktrack" and "ChexSystems"

What im looking for is "TELETRACK" http://teletrack.com/

I sent in for a copy of my report three times and recieved nothing back, might be because Im overseas....

Some how some way Im going to get to the bottom of this. Long story, but its and ex wives record from what I have been able to dig up.

Some people say thet have to follow the same rules as the big 3 reporting agenies. Stuff falls off after 7 years. Some say its 10. Its been WAY past 7

I have some phone time tonight and am going to calll these @#$^^ tonight see if I cant get a real person on the phone.

I have read posts here and other plces with folks in the same boat.

Any info anyone can add would be great, maybe pool some information and look for inconsistancies.

Thanks

Re: AMEX and Teletrack

I forgot to mention you cant call an 800 number from a cell phone here, forgot myself..... so I sent an email.....

This is probably like fighting City Hall, but I know there are 100's of you out there with the same deal, Over the years I read them all I think LOL

I sent this email.

Hello,

I am deployed in the middle east and have been for the last 5 years. You cant call an 800 number from a cell phone here.

I have requested my report numerous times and have failed to get one, who's fault I do not know.

I have PERFECT credit besides something you guys keep reporting to AMEX every time I apply.

You can understand it is hard to get things done from the other side of the planet, so if I cant get my report, maybe you can answer just one question.

How long do you maintain derogatory information on a consumer.

I can at least take a guess when you guys will stop reporting whatever it is that is keeping a person with a 750 autocross the board credit score from getting an AMEX card.

As this is not personal information and simply a policy/possible legal question, I would appreciate and answer.

Thank You

Re: AMEX and Teletrack

I have no idea besides suggesting to send a fax if in any way possible. You could also try using google voice.
I'll give this a bump so others will see it. Good luck!

Re: AMEX and Teletrack

+1 on google voice.

Here's more awesome about it.  If you have an Android phone, and pay the $20 or so for GrooveIP (an app).  You can make / recieve FREE calls from/to your GV # (to the US, any #) any time you have WiFi, using your phone the way you normally would.  I travel to Europe extensively and my Verizon phone shouldn't work at all, but I shut off the cell radios and leave it on WiFi/auto connect to open.  It's very rare that I can't make/get a call.  When I can't get them, they just go to VM, and I see it when I have a signal.

iphone + talkatone (uses google voice for straight voip calls) ... if you have one, you can also use it on an ipod touch... works great!

Re: AMEX and Teletrack

FINALLY, an official answer to this question. You can look all day....all year......probably get sniper dropped before you can find this on the internet.

The reply, and maybe  way to get a report out of these guys.... jeeeze.

Hello,

Derogatory information remains on file for 7 years and Bankruptcies remain on file for 10 years. I do apologize that you have not received your report. If you would like to provide me your first and last name, your date of birth and the address you would like the report mailed to I can send you your report. Please know that if the address you provide is not an address we have in our system we will not be able to send you your report for security reasons. We would need more detailed information showing that address (i.e. copy of a utility bill, copy of ID) before we can send you the report. If you have further questions you can call me directly at (mod cut).

Thank you,

Ill follow  up  next week.

I have to say I am surprised a real name with a real non 800 number I can call.......

Maybe this will help some other poor schmuck with these guys.

eta: We don't post names and contact numbers of individual employees at businesses, unless it's someone who can be easily located by an online search. However, it's OK to pm the info. Thanks for your understanding. (And good luck.)  --hauling

Re: AMEX and Teletrack

This was my experience with Amex and Teletrack

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/Account-on-Teletrack/td-p/1058486

I believe the office I communicated with was in Georgia, and I dealt with Teletrack itself, not their parent company CoreLogic. Be persistent. Good Luck!
