Capital One BT Offer... WOW!

I would NEVER have thought I would see such a thing from capital One (came through on my partners Quick Silver Account today via email)

Online balance transfers are easier than you think.

Get 0% APR for 18 months.

For your existing account ending in: 5831

Cardmember,

A balance transfer can save you interest if you have balances on expensive credit cards or store cards. See how easy it is to consolidate your debt with a lower APR.

1.

Transfer your balance online before July 15, 2015.

2.

Start saving on interest with 0% APR for 18 months.

3.

Simplify your finances with fewer payments to manage.

After 18 months, your rate will simply go to your purchase rate, which is currently 13.90% variable. You’ll pay a balance transfer fee of 3% of each transaction amount. With online balance transfers, a few easy steps go a long way.

3% is pretty standard. Getting 2% offer for 18mos from Barclays on the regular.

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Capital One BT Offer... WOW!

Just got mine for 12months. I'm currently not in need of a BT but if I can get a hassle free check, I'd take it.

Something is definitely brewing with these companies. We l're in for some serious treats as each one steps their game up to try and win us over.

Re: Capital One BT Offer... WOW!

I just got that too, 18 months 0% APR, 3% fee, on my VentureOne.

I've got some cards. Some are pretty, some are ugly. Some are more useful than others.

Well, since Discover is pulling a deal out of their hat, maybe QS and QS1 will double to 3% on all purchases.

Re: Capital One BT Offer... WOW!

@Vulcan
Cap1 started all of this. They decided to top 1% cards with QS. 1.5 on non-category spend. Then Citi took notice and upped the ante with 2% paid in full. Discover Miles came with the 3% for the first year. Discover IT now has 2% purchases and 10% Dicover Deals. They're tripping over themselves in order to curry favor and I'M LUVIN IT!

I still hate the 3% transaction fee. Chase Slate has the best BT offer!
