Hey Uncle B,
I have a QS that was at $5300 and just product changed it to the Venture One. I received the email yesterday that the new card had shipped, so I went to card benefits...it is listed as a Venutre One platinum card.
My shiny new QS card came in the mail. Upside, I was tired of my Image Card and I understand it was next to impossible to call in and get a regular card. So I am happy.

Well this is a true bummer.
In the past a PC once the CL was at or past $5k was the sure-fire way to get an upgrade to WMC... I guess with all the other changes at Capital One lately they've changed that as well, or at best it might now be YMMV.
Hey UncleB, I upgraded my QS Platinum to QS something, just did it yesterday. The limit on my QS Platinum is $4300. Peking said his changed in his card benefits when they shipped the card. I'll let you know what happens!
Thanks Bella, that's exactly the data point I'm looking for!
<Fingers crossed> that you get upgraded to WMC!
Nope, UncleB, it's officially still a Platinum. I got the email today letting me know they've shipped my card, and my Card Benefilts shows the card as a Platinum. Oh well! It was worth some hope! At least I just got the auto-CLI making it $4300, and my plan is to combine into my "real" QS anyways!
Well dang...
Thanks for sharing your experience anyway. Now I have to wonder if somebody were to "upgrade" an existing QS with a credit line of $5k or greater to another QS if that would make a difference, or if you still need to PC to something else, like a Venture One. Since my own QS MasterCard is now 'stranded' at $4900 for the foreseeable future I probably won't be able to contribute a data point on that any time soon.
FWIW, at least now you'll have the new design and contactless!
No prob, UncleB! I am curious to see the new design in person, but I might be one of the few people that think Capital One could have hit it out of the park with a new design but instead stayed with "meh." Maybe I'll feel differently when I see it in person. But contactless will be cool!
I just clicked the link and logged in. It just shows the same card. LOL. "Your current card: Quicksilver One" Upgrade to Quicksilver One".
The Dining card is a new product. So this is a development!! Interesting....
Tried this yesterday on my QS1 and got the dreaded "no offers"...then tried it on my GF's Journey and got her upgraded to the QS! At least one of us got a win
Thanks for posting this.
I have 2 Cap 1 cards.
My first was a Plantinum card that I've had for 14 years with a $5,000 limit and $59 annual fee. I checked the link and was offered either a QS with no fee, QS1 with no fee or Venture with No Fee. I took the QuickSilver
Logged back out and checked the link again and it came up with an offer for my second card.
My second card I've had for 10+ years. It's a Plantinum with a $29 annual fee and $1,000 limit. They are giving me two offers. Either a QuickSilver One with a $29 fee or a Venure One with no fee.
I assume I should switch this to the Venture?
