Well, funny enough, 2 days after i secured an auto loan with Chase, they decided to close ALL my credit card accounts. They also closed the cards belonging to my GF. Well, a little background story here. After getting the loan check, i went to the dealership where they offered me a better rate than Chase, so i had to return the check to my branch (loan was already showing in my Chase account). Fast forward to 2 days ago, i decided to try and get a metal Ritz card and everything went smoothly (card will arrive on monday). I then went to Target and tried to get a couple of items, but my Chase card was declined. Didn't think much of it. I just used my Capital One card and kept moving. Later that day, my GF called me to ask if i closed her Chase account. She then confirmed that it wasn't just one that was closed, but ALL. I got curious and checked mine and they were ALL closed too. Called Chase and they said it's because i opened too many accounts recently and i had too many inquiries. I tried to explain to the guy that i recently added 10+ inquiries in a span of 2 days before i was searching for a good rate on auto loans and he can confirm by looking at the report. He simply ignored me and kept saying that there's nothing he can do and that i have a 6 month window for account reinstatement. Mind you, i've had a Chase account since 2008 (originally WAMU). I've paid all my bills on time.

Wow thats terrible, you are not the only member here that Chase has closed all their accounts. It is becoming a "norm" for Chase and any other Bank to close account due to " too many new INQ and new accounts" - you should go directly to the branch to appeal your case. Good luck.
Also, i failed to add that i paid for my Freedom account with the wrong checking account so my payment was reserved and i quickly fixed it by paying with the correct account. I then stupidly did the same exact thing with my GFs Sapphire account. Payment was also reserved and i quickly fixed it by paying with the correct account. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal because they're getting their money anyway, but i was WRONG. I'm pretty sure the missed payments contributed to the account closures. I hope they'll reopen ours accounts and i plan on calling back in about a week or 2 after my report gets better to plead my case.

This could be a red flag too, you should appeal your case.

Not so clear why your GF was impacted, just because of the "bad" payment or did she also have many inquiries? This is more normal if you had transferred URs to her account, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Yeah, i plan on it. I've always played nice with Chase. I'll point out my great payment history and the period of time i've been a loyal customer. Then again, i guess they don't have to keep me. The ball is in their court.

She was told that it's because the authorized user on her accounts spends more than her and she also her many inquiries (thanks to me). I'm an authorized user on her Hyatt, Marriott and Sapphire Pref account.
Were all 10+ INQ from just auto loan apps? Or other lines of credit as well? When was your last app spree?
I'm curious whether Chase has a threshold on how many X new accounts within Y months could result into mass account closure like you experienced. Or was it more attributed to the commingling of funds/accounts between you and your girlfriend .
Sorry to hear. Would you mind sharing how many new Chase accounts you got in the past 12 months / 24 months ? Did you close accounts after the sign up bonus was paid? No MS I hope?
damn, I love chase and all of their bonus cards. I am on card 3 and have tons of new accounts and inq's.
I have 2 AU's that don't use their cards on CSP and Amazon. I hope they play nice with me.
can you transfer any UR's you have after the axe?
