1. What does Shop Discover's statement, "Not valid with any other offers"really mean? Does this mean that I can't apply a discount code that I found online to my transaction?
(Ex: Kmart has a 10% code available right now, and clicking through Shop Discover's Kmart link pays 10% cash back, so if combined, net savings of 20%, IF allowed)
2. What, if anything, does it mean if I paid $1500 on my Discover bill yesterday (bringing account to $0 / $7,500), credit line still shows as $7,500, but available balance shows as $6,000? Does it take awhile after paying for the balance to become available? I don't need access to it right now--just curious about how much lag time is normally involved between payment and credit line availability.
Observation: I paid my bill in full ON my Discover posting date, which was yesterday. Today, my statement balance for October shows as $0!!! I would have thought that payment would be needed BEFORE the posting date to get this impact. Do all CC's work this way?
Thanks for listening/answering!

By "posting date", do you mean statement date?
If so, for your actual statement (meaning the paper statement or the online PDF version of it) to show a zero balance due, I think your payment needs to be received BEFORE the statement date.
According to the Discover Payments FAQ, the magic time is 5:00pm EST. Payments received before 5pm are posted that day, payments received after 5pm are posted next day.
