Does Amex from other companies count as a revolver?

As some of you may all know, my goal was to get my foot in the door with an amex revolver. Well, I just got approved for the USAA amex for 7.5k. But my question is, does this actually count as an actual AMEX??? Does amex see my account or is it just specifically associated with USAA and not amex? I'm curious to know if the 3x CL pertains to my USAA card now or not.

The 3x does not apply sorry

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

No. This is NOT an AmEx card. It is using the Amex payment network. No different than Visa or Mastercard.

Also, your credit reports don't specify what card you have. I.e., my reports say Amex centurion bank, no one knows I have the BCE. So likely no one will know you have the USAA Amex.

Dont know what's in your profile, but with those cards it certainly seems like you qualify for a revolver.

I saw his scores in another thread, and I also think he qualifies. If he waits until Jan for max backdating, I think he would be approved at that point.

Re: Does Amex from other companies count as a revolver?

From what I've read here on the forums, if you're already an Amex holder (not an AU), then an app for a revolver will only be a Soft Pull if you're denied, and a HP if you are approved.

If you're not worried about a hard pull, then there's no real risk in applying.

Thats what I thought! But they just won't approve me! I need to lower my UTL a little bit more. I was at 18% when I apped. And plus, I just got an auto loan in may of this year. So the fact that I still have a high balance in relation to my loan amount, hurt me too.
