Financial Review Threshold

Anyone know the threshold (even hypothetical) that will trigger a FR for the CSP and Capital1. I've heard of a limit for the Amex BCE of $25,000. Wanted to see what the limit is for other cards as well.

Re: Financial Review Threshold

The Amex threshold is bogus. I've learned you just request what you want with Amex. If FR is required, lower the amount and hit the luv button again..until it is an instant approval.

I was recently on AMEX's website, and hoovered over the luv button with my mouse, but chickened out and cancelled the request for fear of a FR...lol. Thinking about a $15,000 increase....

Would request use a SP or a HP?

Re: Financial Review Threshold

It's a SP...go big or go home..lol
Don't be scared!

If it pops up.. slowly lower your asking amount. You'll see what I'm talking about. I hit it three or four times before instant approval. I'll ask for 50k on the next one and let the chips fall where they may.

Just to note: these aren't 'real" FRs.   Those are when Amex thinks something might be wrong, freezes your cards, and if you don't send in the form, they close your accounts.  For CLIs, if you don't send in the form, nothing bad happens, you just don't get the increase (or, as you suggest, reduce the request until income verification isn't needed)

Yes thanks for the clarification LTL, I figured he/she meant when they ask for tax forms.

Re: Financial Review Threshold

I've never requested an Amex CLI before... is it "best" to do it online or over the phone?  Does it matter?  Would be cool hearing from those that have had experience with both methods as they can vary from creditor to creditor.

There is an entire thread regarding how to approach the AMEX 3X CLI requests, and user experiences documented over time.

On Line is the way to go with AMEX CLI requests. Easy peazy.
