First Command Bank Changes Rate/Adds Some Fees

My dream card, First Command Bank Platinum Visa, 4.25%, no fees whatsoever is changing some terms, effective October 1, 2009:

  • Rate will still be 1% + Prime, but not less than 7.25%
  • Cash Advance Fees are now in play
  • Late Payment Fees are now in play

Although I hadn't planned on carrying a balance, knowing I had one of the lowest rates was a comfort.

I would surmise that this was a global change--if others were affected too, please chime in.

I am hoping my Simmons First Platinum Visa stays fixed @ 7.25%!
