Home Depot - Further Processing

Good Morning All,

I applied for a Home Depot card about 8 days ago.  I recieved a further processing message.  I called Home Depot Credit Services this moring.  They advised me that further processing is required and I will receive writen notification w/i 7 days.  My TU score is 680 and my only baddie is a 3 yo tax lien that i am paying off.

Is this a denial?

Nah, it will be approved most likely. If it was gonna be denied, you would of had known by now don't you think?

Re: Home Depot - Further Processing

If you applied online did they give you a "report code"? I have heard that a Code 25 is "Denied", and a Code 26 is an "approved/being processed"

Not 100% sure though. Good luck!

No they did not give me a report code.  I guess I will have to wait it out.  Has anyone had a similar experience with Home Depot?  If so what was the outcome?

Re: Home Depot - Further Processing

I apped online for the HD MC and got the 7-10 day message.  It was a decline for me.  They pulled EQ only with my score of 619 at the time.

My eq score jumped 35 points since then and my one really ugly credit issue should be resolved so I can do a recon w/in 30 days.

HTH

Edit:  I should have added that I was pre-app for the store card w/ a 1k limit.  I should have gone that route, but no I wanted the 'cute' card with the tools and screws on it.

I think chances are 50/50. I was declined a citi card for a paid collection though I have several biz cards in excellent standing from citi. They tend to get touchy about collections paid/unpaid and public records. Since yours is 3 year old that might make difference. Let us know once you hear from them what the out come is. Good Luck.
