Ok I have a few things... First, a few accounts have 2 or 3 60 days late reports, however, those were very long ago. Since then there has been a Paid as agreed. Is it possible for that company to remove those late reports? I have one account that was closed by credit grantor...How can that be removed?
I recently got an Orchard Bank card pre-approval in the mail. I only have one major credit card with Capital One with a credit limit of $500. Would it be smart to open the Orchard Bank card if I can to help with my score?
you can write goodwill letters to the banks asking if they could remove your lates because you are trying to rebuild yourself.
Orchard will be a $300 limit... might help for now but not very good once you do get your credit better, it won't grow with you.

If I was you, I will try to open a GEMB backed store card. No reason to pay AF to orchard unless you have no other choice. Orchard will never grow while GEMB will get you good CL pretty soon which will help your util when you apply for better cards later.
i agree go with gemb
