Where do I get the recon number?  Is it the same number were I check the application status?

Check the sticky above for backdoor numbers. I don't know if it's a proven fact that Chase double pulls for borderline. It certainly makes sense, but when they approved me for $12k CSP they pulled EX and TU. I would think if I was borderline I would have received a $5k limit not $12k.

I called today and found out I was not approved.  The lady I spoke with said it was mainly because of my student loans that went into default and apparently the card I had applied for has a minimum credit limit of 5k.  The reason they did 2 HP was because Chase was unable to get a clear picture from just Exp.  I will just wait about 9-12 months when my student loans finally go out of rehab to apply again.  Thanks everyone for all the help.
