So I have a CapOne Platinum and Cash Rewards (both Credit Steps) and I have been experimenting with different ways to get results. Two successful inquiries for things via their Facebook page (ultimately, they forward you to the EO's office, but the FB CS is fast and wonderful!). No real success via anything on the site or chat. Today, I saw a Twiiter contact and thought "Why not?" So I tweeted asking about PCing and a few minutes later got a reply directing me to call the basic 1-800 #. Hmmm...fail, or so I thought. I called and talked to a lovely young lady in Virginia who informed me instantly that yes, I could indeed upgrade my account! She passed me over to an "account specialist" also from Virginia who gave me all the details.
I also sort of tried to ask for a CLI while I was talking to her, but she was really chatty and telling me her entire life story (Honestly, it was probably a good 10 minutes of personal story? That was a little weird, but she was nice...) so no dice on that but my new card will be here in 7-10 days. This was after checking the site and seeing that I had "no offers" and asking via chat.
I am sure the Twitter thing was just coincidence (although my username is my actual name), but I will still keep it in the "success" side for now. I will keep up with my "research". LOL!
I like to pull the proverbial "slot machine arm" that is Capital One chat and bug them to give me a CLI or product change...well...chat appears to be gone now? Is this the same for everyone else?
Yes, I chat with them ALL the time asking for different things! LOL! I did not see the chat button on my last log-in, but wasn't sure if that was due to the site being down for awhile or if they were sick of me bugging them all the time!

I reached out to them on Twitter today too cuz your post inspired me to try, and I was asked to direct message them my contact info and they said thanks and will be in touch when they have more information. I know way back last year i emailed their social media team and they were all of a sudden able to make an offer appear to add 1% Cash back without mailing me a new card, so maybe they can do it again. Is the Twitter Support and Facebook the same? Like are they both from the Executive Office?
@LLMT What 800 number did you call? The wired thing is I called the number on the back of my Capital One Platinum card and had it successfully PC to Quicksilver on Saturday. I believed I was transferred to an account specialist too. My brother has the same credit card and when he tried calling in (multiple times) every CSR said it wasn't possible to PC to Quicksilver.

I believe they are because I dont think Cap One would let just anyone handle their social media concerns.
Also congrats to everyone's success!

Oh crap! Every time when i was asking the Executive Office for a credit increase i have asked to be switched to a higher cash back like the one that had the 50% bonus since mine has the 25% bonus and both times they said no.
So i expect to hear a no yet again! oh well at least i'm trying.
