Lets start a thread. What banks SP what bureau to send pre approved offers in the mail or on-line. Citi SP EQ but pulls EX for me.

Thats what the credit pull database is for. Keep in mind the pulls are based on regions and a creditor can decide to change what bureau they pull at anytime when an applicant applies for a card.

It's almost meaningless to say which bureau was pulled as any creditor can and has pulled any of the 3, besides the fact that it can vary by region. Especially when we are talking about pre-approved mailers, I'm not sure why it matters which bureau was SP'd for them. The SP isn't hurting you no matter which bureau is pulled, and it offers no guarantee that that's the bureau they'd use in a final approval.

Sometimes you just have to step back and not overthink things that are probably not worth the time thinking about because they have no real conclusive answer.

For me I use process of elimination. I can see soft pulls on EQ. I am pretty sure Chase does pre-quals through TransUnion. Otherwise credit pulls database has info or some google work can be done. You can also get your free annual reports which should show you soft pulls from creditors so you have reference point.

These are soft pulls on my Equifax credit report which I can see daily through a membership with them.

Who knows what famers insurnace wants with me, they dont send me anything but they love to soft pull my reports lol. i dont have any insurnace with them.

+1 I have 5 SPs from them, I get a pre-approval for insurance from them once a week now..
