Re: Ritz Carlton 140K point offer

i am pretty sure no customer service agent at Chase has any influence over when a card is "made" or shipped.  Seems silly that people are calling daily for status updates of if there card has shipped.  I know this comment is a few pages late but im just sayin'

Citi AAdvantage WE - 41k | Marriott Bonvoy Brilliance - 29k | Citi Double Cash - 19 .5k | Southwest Premier - 39k | Discover Miles - 23k | GECRB Ebates Visa - 10k | Golden1 Rewards - $10k | Ducks Unlimited - 6k |

Aww okay. That is why I am not seeing in when I log in. Okay, I will wait until tomorrow to see what happens.

Edit: It seems like the membership account numbers have finally been linked to our names; however, cc account numbers are yet to be created.

Re: Ritz Carlton 140K point offer

Do I need to already have a Marriott account or will it automatically make one? Is this worth the annual fee, the points? I can't read all 50 pages. :/

If you don't enter a marriott # on your application one will be generated for you.

For the $395 you get

Automatic gold status the first year - gold status with $10,000 spend on the card annually after that

(gold status includes free top tier wifi, concierge lounge access at full service hotels (which includes free breakfast and whatnot) and free breakfast at hotels without a concierge lounge that dont give you free breakfast already. it also includes complimentary room upgrades and 25% bonus ontop of base points earned.

you also get $300 airline incidental credit annually (calendar year) which anecdotally can be used for some airline gift cards

Lounge club access

$100 hotel credit on paid stays of 2 nights or longer at the RITZ CARLTON ONLY (not marriotts)

and 3 upgrade certificated to club level on paid stays of up to 7 nights at RITZ CARLTON ONLY (no marriotts)

and a whole host of other benefits but those are the biggies.

the worth of 140,000 points can be quite substantial, over $1000 if used correctly. And the card is metal. Smiley Tongue

Also, for those of you unfamiliar - Marriott Pulse is a new survey/forum type thing which offers 1000 points per discussion (thread). You need to be invited to the discussions, and they only happen every so often, but 1000 points for a few words is worth it. They also offer surveys which can range in value, and you get 50 or 100 points just for signing up. it's a marriott site (legit) so it isn't a scam. I've gotten some points already.
