Re: Should I apply for a discover

Congrats and welcome to the Discover family

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

$6500    Dang wish I wouldn't have applied now. Advice on getting that raised?

Told you.  They're all over the map.  You can try calling in and asking, but I think they say a minimum of 3 months before they'll do a CLI.

90% I have seen above $20k had to request like a senior review and provide pay stubs to get it up... If you don't have a problem showing high income then might be worth a push... I'm mobile so can't look but there is a poster with $40k and he had to send docs but got it after couple days and HP.

Wonder if Discover is spinning the wheel when it comes to assigning CL ?  The result does not surprise me at all ...but keep using the card they might show you some love later on... LOL....

edit: almost forgot - Congrats !

Re: Should I apply for a discover

I'd ask for a review on the CL. Keep in mind they have changed their policy on CLI's to 3 mos so it might be worth it to forgo a Hp for 3 mos and see what they give you.

Grats on the approval. If you ask for a CLI now they most likely will ask for income verification, which may be troublesome and time consuming, and they might pull new inquiries. Like lexie said, its best to wait 3 months

Re: Should I apply for a discover

congrats welcome to discover. If you can't get em to change the limit now. Use heavily and ask again in  3  mo's. They are stingy with SP CLI's.
