As stated an alternative CRA, this organization typically tracks the number of major bankcard requests that come from an individual address. I have also heard that they may provide the bank  asking for the report guidance on risk as well. If you are being denied and no one will tell you the reason its usually due to this agency.. US Bank, FNBO, Cap-1 are known pullers of this report for new cards.

Re: ARS?

They are a debt collector company that also collects info on accounts I wouldn't give them any info I just got a zombie debt that was 13 years old that they are trying to collect on also since they are not a real cra they get around reporting very old info on there so called report the only other cra that is somewhat creditable is Innovis as they collect info on accounts and they are the ones responsible for most of your pre approved offers

always use credit wisely and you won't ever feel like you're working just for the task master

Re: ARS?

ARS, IDA (ID Analytics), and Innovis are sort of the second tier of credit reporting agencies. Most people don't learn they exist until their info has caused an AA. So you're ahead of most people now. Smiley Happy

You are entitled to a free report every year from them, just like the big three (EQ/EX/TU), and you can put a security freeze on them to avoid having them unexpectedly used without your knowledge. However, they don't participate in the Annual Credit Report website, so you have to contact them individually.

ARS - You can request report/freeze by fax or postal mail.  Requires one form of proof of identity.

IDA - You can request report/freeze by fax or postal mail. Requires two forms of proof of identity.

Innovis - You can request report by phone (automated system) or postal mail. You can request freeze by phone, postal mail, or on their website. Required identifying details from your identity but no copies of documents.

For ARS and IDA, do a google search for "Freeze ida ars credit report"

For Innovis, you can probably guess their .com domain name or google for it.

It's worth doing this, and adding it to your annual credit hygiene schedule along with annualcreditreport.com's freebies.
