CA pulled 2 hards in the same day

I just received an e-mail alert from TC. I logged on to see 2 hard pulls by Crescent Recovery LLC. I disputed this Collection account with Equifax about a week ago. Is it legal to pull 2 hards at one time. I don't know what to do. This account is already reporting on both my equifax and experian report. It is from an HSBC report I had back in 2000. Transunion deleted it off of my report since their deletion date was June 2007. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanking you in advance.

Re: CA pulled 2 hards in the same day

Search the board for the non-authorized inquiry.  CA is liable to you for 1k for each pull and must remove those 2 INQs.

Did you ever DV this CA or you only disputed?  Are you past state collecting SOL?

A   CA  never has PP to pull hard copies.

Send them a nice letter stating that they have violated a federal law in pulling a copy of your CR without your permission. They now  have 1 day to remove them!

Also send fax or mail to CRA & state that you did not ask for credit, Ins. or give permission to this company to pull your CR. please delete both ings.

I would not do anything more unless it appears on your CR.

Always keep hard copies of all CRs...you can always go back and find drop dates from years past.

IF they report to CRA...DV them & let them know that it is illegal to report!
