I am so furious right now. Ok this may seem so trival to so many, but please understand that I have been trying to rebuild my credit since the day I filed bk. In Dec 2004 I filed ch 13 bk. I had a few cards that I didn't not have a balance on and that remained open after we filed. My citibank card had a small balance on it, but I had to name them in the bk because they had a balance. I continued to pay & they continued to allow my card to be open. I have two other cards that had been issued from Citibank including a Children's Place and Home Depot. I just got notice today that, my childrens place card (which was never in the bk), had no balance, and was never late was closed. I called and they said they received notification of my bk in May. I informed her I actually filed in 2004 and the noticed they received was a discharge. She said once they are informed of a bk they can close the account at anytime. My Home Depot has a balanc and so does my citibank, although both have available credit on them. Should I expect this to happen with the rest of these cards. I am so ticked. I feel like everytime I take a step forward I fall three steps back. Anyone else ever have this problem with credit cards that rec'd a discharge notice?
