Basically what he is saying that in the old days, creditors would pull, more often than not, from the bureau which had a stronger presence in your area.  For me its Equifax. Simply because smaller companies generally report to the "local" bureaus and may not report all three.  They are more likely to get your collection info from the 'local' bureau (the one with more eporting activity from your area) than either of the other two.  He just went on to say that while, back in the old days, this was more of a factor, information sharing today kinda shoots that principal in the foot in most cases.
 
Just wish the rest of my history would report to the other two Smiley Very Happy
