Next Step in Medical Collection Process

I know I have posted before but I will update my situation.

I had three medical bills reporting to all three CRA's.

I sent out Pre-HIPAA to the CRA's, here are the results...

Medical Bill #1  Reporting to all 3.

Medical Bill #2  Reporting to all 3.

Medical Bill #3  Reporting to 2.

I then sent out HIPAA letter #2 to the OC, here are the results...

Medical Bill #1  Reporting to 1.  (Received letter from OC advising they would tell CA to delete)

Medical Bill #2  Reporting to 2.  (Didn't hear anything regarding it, it just disappeared from CR)

Medical Bill #3  Reporting to 2.  (Haven't heard anything from OC)

It has now been 30 days since the OC's received letter #2.  Where do I go from here?  Thanks.

Good job with collections 1 & 2! As for collection 3, is it paid? If it is, who did you pay? And is it reporting paid?

I'm sorry, I meant to include everything, I'm just so flustered with this HIPAA stuff.  All collections are reporting as paid and were paid to the CA.  Like everyone else I wasn't aware of HIPAA laws and everything before I paid them.  Thanks for all your help.  I wish this was a little easier.

Congrads on deletes so far.

Scenario #3: If the CRA “verifies" your paid collection and you paid the CA, send this letter to the CA.

ALTERNATIVE MED DV LETTER TO THE CA

After you receive the green card for the Alt Med DV letter to the CA, mail this follow-up dispute letter.

FOLLOW-UP DISPUTE LETTER (2) TO THE CRA'S

Since you paid the CA, write them an alternative med DV letter and send it CMRRR. Wait up to 30 days.

ALTERNATIVE MED DV LETTER TO THE CA

Once you receive the green card for the alt med DV letter, send this follow-up dispute letter to CRAs CMRRR and wait up to 35 days for the results.

FOLLOW-UP DISPUTE LETTER (2) TO THE CRA'S

Is there an echo in here?  Thanks for all the great info as usual.  I will keep you updated on my progress.  In regards to the medical bill #1 where I have the letter from the OC telling me they will tell the CA to delete, can I fax this to the CRA?

It's been about 25 days since they said they would delete, I guess another week couldn't hurt.

This collection you are waiting to be deleted, is marked paid on your reports?
