I would like to thank everyone I was able to get RJM to agree to a PFD they even offered to let me pay it out since it is a small amount I am going to pif. But they have sent me the letter stating my offer was accepted. I have noticed it is no longer reporting on the CR eitheir. ![]()
Thanks again Guys
If you don't mind me asking, how old was your account? I have an old account with them I was thinking about trying to settle with a PFD. I was wondering if it would help my score to pay it, since it's so old.

daisy,
an old collection helps your Fico score with account age, but it also depresses greatly and buckets you as a risky customer.
so it's always better to delete old collections when you can.
RJM is great at accepting PFD starting from 25% of the amount and are very fast in deleting.
good luck!!!
After thinking about this more and more. I paid RJM off last year, before I even knew about PFDs or GWs. I paid them off first. But even now I am having a hard time getting them to even report that it has been paid. I have had to send 4 copies of my receipt from them and to the CBs certified mail and for some reason they just dont knw what to do with it even though I have specified it over and over. Oh well life ill go on....
