Rebuild journal 5-28-14

(I do appreciate comments and suggestions, once I get my capitalone quicksilver in the mail I am sending off letters to both collections trying for a partial pay 40% of each and removal off my report, if they wont go for that, 100% pay for 1 now, 1 next month and removal from my report.)

My goal is 700+ scores by mid 2015.  We would love to be able to get a house in 2016.  Most everything has fallen off my account except just a few things.  I am organizing them all here and updating it as I get them cleared via GW letters or they are removed due to age or other reasons.  I have a satisfied judgement to try and have removed and 2 collections that I need to pay and try to have removed.  Kind of funny the longest lasting judgement I have is the only satisfied one =/  LVNV funding is half paid and the garnishments oddly stopped, I need to check into this as soon as I get the collections paid off.

Updates:

5-25-14 CapitalOne Platinum approved, 300 limit.

5-26-14 CapitalOne QuicksilverOne approved, 300 limit.

5-28-14 Discover card declined: Not enough revolving accounts, no open credit accounts.

5-28-14 Walmart card declined: Judgements/collection

5/28/14 Called CALIF EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS and could not get ahold of anyone.  Will try again tomorrow.

5-28-14 Got Experian report - Errors; CapitalOne judgement; Asset Acceptance is trying to collect on the CO from before judgement, need to have removed.  SOL is far passed for the CO to be collected upon and should only be the judgement.  Also has CapitalOne as a open and reporting account being not paid yet none of the other credit reports list that since its already gone to judgement and they won by default.  I have an outstanding balance of 600 dollars listed out of the 1310 limit.

6-5-14 Received letter from Victoria's Secret, answered 2 security questions approved for 250 limit.  Have not heard back from anything above yet.  May have to try finding some new phone numbers. - Sent off a pre approval online from DiscoverIT, wait 30 days message.

6-7-14 Applied for, CitiBank went for review online and denied.  Amazon wait for further review.  Kohl's approved 300.

6-12-14 Applied for BofA partial secured, approved but could not get the same deal over the phone so did not go through.  CreditOne apply and approval 300.

6-30-14 Dragging on cleaning up my reports.  Waiting until we have our finances settled, so calling collections can be pif.  Wow its been only a month!

7-3-14 Firestone approved 1000 limit, Macy's old app approved 100 limit, called to verify twice on accident and they upped to 600.

Its been awhile!

10-11-14 Disputed 2 SOL CO/Collections on Transunion and Experian. (they are off my EQ report already)

10-14-14 CO/Collections removed from TU.  Freebie report indicates the CO/Collection is also off my Experian report but but no confirmation from the company yet.

10-27-14 Another judgement paid off, not sure which one yet.  Have to check my paperwork when I am off.  2 down 2 more to go!  So all thats left is 634 in 2 medical collections and 2 judgements.  Next judgement to be garnished is 3600.00 original bill judgement on my reports is 1200 or so.

10-28-14 I was wrong, checked into my check stubs and I only paid 667 towards the last garnishment so it stopped halfway just like the LVNV funding did a few months back.  I also realized the letter I got from my company that lists the next garnishment and how much it is has the wrong docket number, mine ends in 485 and they have it listed as 482.

10-29-14 Experian reported back that they have deleted the Home Depot account.  No collections on my experian report, just 4 judgements.  Yay!

12-28-14 CreditOne card gave me a 100 CLI, new total 400.

12-30-14 Double CLis of 200.00 on Express and Victorias Secret online phone line.  Giving answer of "no" when asked for a specific CLI.

12-31-14 CapitalOne Judgement has 2076 dollars left to pay off.  (received an update letter in the mail from work)

1-7-15 Applied for Chase Freedom, 7-10 day message, called next morning automated line and was approved for 500 limit.

Re: Rebuild journal 5-28-14

12-20-15

Was informed by Office of Personnell Management (OPM) that all of my background info was stolen.  Free monitoring and reports for 3 years via MyID.

12-31-15 - Current FICO down to 624 due to utilization on my cards.  (between 54-62%)

Cards updated above.

Fairly good pay raise at work, hoping it doesnt bump me into a new tax bracket Smiley Sad  Dont really know how that works.

1-6-15

1 judgement on report will be removed in March of this year.  1 judgement on report will be removed in July of this year.  Final judgement that will be left on my reports is a paid judgement due to fall off in 2018.  All judgements will be listed as paid by end of February with tax return money.

More updates soon, busy at work.

First, congrats on the raise!

Tax brackets are pretty simple. You pay a percentage of income per threshold. As an example, if the first bracket is, say, 5% up to 30K annually, then you pay 5% of your income (less whatever deductions). As you cross over 30K, you pay the same 5% of 30K, and then let's say 6% of anything over 30K. So while you can end up paying more in taxes, you're still actually taking home more.

There is no situation where you're better off at the top of a bracket than the bottom of the next. The tables on the IRS site illustrate it rather well: http://www.irs.com/articles/2015-federal-tax-rates-personal-exemptions-and-standard-deductions

Re: Rebuild journal 5-28-14

Thanks!

I believe im in the same boat then.  For some reason thats hard for me to understand.  (its numbers, Ill read about what the numbers mean and how they get them later at work tonight)

$18,151 – $73,800 is 15% and im still in between there.

Was bumped from about 27k to 31k or so.  (yeah im poor haha) I was worried about 30k being some knid of magical number that meant I had to pay more.  I might file my own taxes and do all of that but its just number inputting, ive never bothered to read into it or actually learn what I am doing.

Thanks for the link, ill have to brush up on all of that Smiley Happy
